Today we are going to be learning how to count. 

Listen to your teacher count, is she counting correctly? 

How do you know?

Now lets sit in a circle, using the objects can you show your teacher and class how to count. 

Remember the rules of counting -

Count everything once 

Say the numbers in the right order 

The last number is how many

Touch and count 

What features can you see in a poster?

Large writing, picture, decoration, important message.

Model writing in different sizes and fonts to identify the best clear, large writing. 

We are going to make a poster reminding people to talk to someone if they have a worry. Draw someone who you could talk to, cut them out and stick them on a class poster. Your teacher will write the important message.
