Stoneyholme Community Primary School is a fully inclusive school and we aim to enable every child to reach their full potential. We use the Special Needs and Disablilty Code of Practice (DFES 2014) to inform our practice in providing for children with special educational needs. The Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) is repsonsible for co-ordinating and overseeing all provision for children who have Special Educational Needs or a disabilty (SEND).
Our latest Osted report (June 2015) recognises our commitment to ensuring the very best provision for children with SEND:
The leadership of provision for those pupils with special educational needs or who
are disabled is outstanding. These pupils needs are very well catered for and the teaching
assistants who work with them are well trained and highly effective. Teachers plan carefully
for these pupils and work very well with their assistants to ensure these pupils achieve very
well and become increasingly independent.
Included in this section are the school's Local Offer and SEND Information Report. Our SEN policy can be located in the Whole School Policies secion of the website.
